The M5 Apple Vision Pro now has a serious competitor from Samsung’s with the Galaxy XR headset. Here’s how the two devices compare.

Following the debut of the new and improved M5 Apple Vision Pro, Samsung announced its take on XR headset hardware. Priced at only $1,800, the Samsung Galaxy XR delivers an experience that, in some respects, is quite similar to that of the $3,500 Apple Vision Pro.

Both the Apple and Samsung headsets offer a sophisticated stereoscopic 3D camera system, with roughly the same number of cameras and sensors. The Apple Vision Pro and Samsung Galaxy XR are also available with 256GB of storage and 16GB of RAM, among other things.
