ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Albany Police Department is investigating a shooting on the 200-block of Washington Avenue near Lexington Avenue. Police said the shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday.
When officers arrived, they found evidence of gunfire but no victim. Shortly after, Albany Memorial Hospital notified police of a 24-year-old man who had come into the emergency room with a gunshot wound to the arm.
The investigation found that the man was shot on the 200-block of Washington Avenue, said police. The victim was taken to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
