GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Glens Falls football team entered the week atop the Class B standings with a record of 6-0. Right behind them? Lansingburgh, with a record of 5-1. The two teams met Friday night. A win for the Black Bears, and they’d clinch the top seed in the Class B playoffs.
Chase McTague linked up with Jake Burns for the first touchdown of the game to put Glens Falls ahead 7-0. After a Lansingburgh field goal, Jordan Baker found the endzone for the Black Bears to make it a 14-3 game.
McTague connected with Brayden Bennett for another Glens Falls touchdown, as the Black Bears took a 21-3 lead into the half. They held on to win, 27-3, clinching the top seed in the Class B playoffs.
