SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Families have a chance to meet the woman who put a staple Muppets film into book form at a Schenectady bookstore on October 26. From 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at The Open Door Bookstore & Gift Gallery for a meet and greet with Heather E. Schwartz.
The book follows the movie’s plot of Kermit the Frog’s travels to Hollywood, meeting friends like Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, and more. Schwartz has been inspired by The Muppets Movie since childhood and has written for publishers like Disney, Scholastic, Sesame Street, and several others.
“I loved the Muppets as a kid, so I’m excited that this book will introduce very young readers to these delightful characters,” Schwartz said. “And I’m thankful to The Open Door Bookstore for giving me a chance to meet more fans of the Muppets.”
