Pebble is back on the App Store, and it’s giving your old watches life again

Pebble Core time 2

Have you got an old Pebble device gathering dust somewhere? Well, it’s time to get it back out because the Pebble app is back and it’s breathing new life into old watches.

Founder Eric Migicovsky announced on X that the Pebble app has returned to both the App Store and Google Play, and it’ll work with every Pebble device ever made.

This is just the next step in Pebble’s revival. After being shut down following a sale to Fitbit nearly ten years ago, Pebble has announced two new devices and relaunched its app, giving you access to 2,000 apps, 10,000 watch faces, and the ability to revive old tech – even with your old Pebble login.

This is pretty remarkable given most gadgets these days only have developer support for a number of years. Pebble’s dedication to its community might be in part due to the Rebble Alliance, which kept the ecosystem alive after Pebble shut down in 2016.

It’s an incredible commitment from Migicovsky and co and hopefully we’ll see more apps launch in the coming weeks and months.

If you’re interested in the Pebble story or you’re sad that you can’t find your old watch, then the Pebble 2 Duo and Pebble Time 2 – the new watches – are available now for $149 and $245.
