2 dead, 1 seriously injured during South Side shooting

Two people have died and a third was in serious condition at a hospital after a shooting on the city’s South Side.

The victim, who appear to be men in their 20s, were all shot about 8 a.m. in the 8100 block of South Marshfield Avenue, according to Larry Merritt, of the fire department.

The surviving victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn while the other two were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, Merritt added.
