The only consistent thing about the Toronto Raptors so far this season has been their inconsistency.
They surprisingly beat the Atlanta Hawks in their opening game, but have now lost to the Milwaukee Bucks and Dallas Mavericks.
Those losses wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for how unpredictable the team has been.
Writing on social media, Sam Vecenie summed up a problem that many fans have noted about the Raptors: their flow is completely off at times.
“Raptors are weirdest team in league for me right now. Everything within games is so inconsistent. Sometimes offense flows with great ball movement, sometimes it’s messy stagnant. Sometimes the aggressive defense creates havoc and rotates like crazy, other times it’s a total mess,” Vecenie posted on X.

The Raptors have quite a few impressive players in the lineup, including Scottie Barnes, Gradey Dick, Immanuel Quickley, Jakob Poeltl, and more.
Plus, they have newcomer Brandon Ingram, who could be a calm and steady presence for the team.
Still, the Raptors have been very up-and-down during their first three games.
Inconsistency can completely derail a team, and it’ll leave fans frustrated.
But the good news for Toronto is that they have a lot of time to get it together.
The season is very young, which means the Raptors can work out their problems and actually make some noise in the East.
Most people don’t expect the Raptors to go far this season, and they feel it’ll be a few years before they are really contenders again.
But that doesn’t mean they can’t be a team that surprises everyone and overperforms.
If that’s going to happen, they will have to work out this inconsistency and actually perform like a cohesive team that’s on the same page at all times.
