Free coats, hats being given to kids in Amsterdam

AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Leaders in Amsterdam will be giving out free coats and hats to local kids from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1 at Esperanza Verde Park. It’s a collaborative event with MVP Health Care called Project Bundle UP.

The items will be given away on a first come, first served basis. Kids must be present to receive their coat. Registration is not required.

“On behalf of our city, I can’t thank MVP enough for this wonderful donation of winter jackets for children in our community who can really use them,” Amsterdam Mayor Michael Cinquanti said.

There will also be hot chocolate, doughnuts, and books from the United Way of Montgomery County’s Imagination Library.
