GALWAY, N.Y. (NEWS10)– A minor was arrested on Thursday after an investigation into sexual abuse. According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, the minor is facing multiple charges.
Deputies said an investigation began after they received reports of sexual contact without consent in the town of Galway on Thursday. The minor is accused of inappropriately touching a female when the victim was incapable of giving consent, and of subjecting another person to sexual contact when incapable of providing consent.
The minor was charged with aggravated third degree sexual abuse and first degree sexual abuse, both class D felonies.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the child was arraigned in the Charlton Town Court and was later released to parent custody. The defendant will have to attend Youth Part of the Saratoga County Court proceedings at a further date.
