Bears WR DJ Moore staying in Washington, D.C., area as precaution

LANDOVER, Md. — Bears receiver DJ Moore did not take the team flight back to Chicago after Monday night’s 25-24 win against the Commanders.

A team official said that he will receive precautionary medical attention and that coach Ben Johnson will provide a further update on Tuesday afternoon. Moore was joking in the Bears’ locker room immediately after the game but was later spotted leaving Northwest Stadium in an ambulance, headed to a hospital for evaluation.

It’s unclear exactly what happened to Moore to prompt the examination, though he appeared to be in pain after taking a hit to the midsection in the first half. He finished the game and was not announced as an injured player at any point. Moore had three catches for 42 yards and two runs for 10 against the Commanders.

The 3-2 Bears’ next game is against the Saints on Sunday afternoon at Soldier Field.

The Bears had yet another weird game at Northwest Stadium in suburban Washington, D.C.
After losing to Jayden Daniels last season, Caleb Williams got the better of their matchup Monday.
He was not scheduled to fly home with the rest of the team.
