For a long time, Green Bay Packers fans have been on the fence about Jordan Love.
They’ve jokingly compared him to Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre, citing that he can be as accurate as the former or as erratic as the latter.
This season, however, he’s been much more Rodgers than Favre.
While he continues to be a gunslinger and throw the football deep down the field, he’s making better decisions.
More importantly, he’s taking good care of the football.
To put it in context, Packers analyst Wendell Ferreira took to X to show just how good he’s been, and how far ahead of other starting quarterbacks he is right now:
Jordan Love has a 2.7% turnover-worthy play rate. That’s better than Stafford, Goff, Jones, Nix, Dart, Lawrence, Purdy, Rodgers, Mayfield, Lamar, Tua, Geno.
Love is the only starting QB in football with a big-time throw rate over 6% and a turnover-worthy play rate under 3%. https://t.co/HvyrQG1JT1

The Packers have a sharp offensive mind calling the shots in head coach Matt LaFleur, who deserves more credit than he usually gets.
They also have a plethora of weapons at Love’s disposal, and they will get another one once Christian Watson is finally ready to make his season debut.
That’s to say that this offense will only go as far as their quarterback can lead them.
And while that hasn’t necessarily been great news during the Jordan Love era, he’s currently playing the best football of his young career.
He’s been a legitimate MVP candidate through his first five games of the season.
And if he can continue to make good decisions while also not being afraid of slinging the pigskin down the field and making some big throws, the sky could be the limit for the Packers’ offense.
