NEW YORK (WPIX) — A popular brand of rice has been recalled nationwide after it was reported that there could be small stones in the product.
The recall impacts a limited batch of Ben’s Original Long Grain White, Whole Grain Brown, and Long Grain & Wild Ready Rice products. The products were sold at several retailers, including Target, HEB, and Amazon.
The stones originate from the rice farm, and if consumed, could pose a risk of oral or digestive tract injury, the recall states.
“This is an isolated issue limited to these batches— no other Ben’s Originalâ„¢ products are affected,” Ben’s said in the recall announcement. “In line with our commitment to transparency and trust, we are taking action to remove the impacted products from the stores where they were sent and to notify consumers.”
The batch codes and best by dates below can be found on the bottom seal of the back of the package.
