TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — An annual holiday tradition will return to Troy for its 43rd year in December. The Victorian Stroll will take place on December 7.
Beginning at 11 a.m., the streets of downtown Troy will transform into a Victorian era city. Attendees are invited to dress up in classic Victorian garb.
The event will also feature several activities and entertainment spread throughout the city. Last year’s attractions included Christmas caroling, clog dancing, a maker’s market and treats from several restaurants and shops.
Downtown Troy businesses will also have the opportunity to participate in a window decorating contest, with the theme to be announced in the near future. Last year’s participants included The Dutch Udder Ice Cream, Butterfly Plant Studio, McAddy’s Pub and more, competing under the theme “Favorite Christmas Movie.”
The Troy Victorian Stroll will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on December 7, with a Christmas tree lighting on December 3 at 5:30 p.m. The event will be located from South to Congress Street, East to 6th Avenue, West to River Street and North to Hutton Street.
