Green Bay Packers fans have had the team’s Week 8 matchup circled on their calendar since the schedule was released.
Not only is this a Sunday Night Football game, which is always exciting, but it marks the first time the Packers are facing Aaron Rodgers since he left the organization.
Rodgers, of course, made a massive impact on this team, and even though his time with the team didn’t end as well as he might have hoped, he still looks fondly on his time with the Packers.
In a recent Zoom interview with reporters, Rodgers not only mentioned that he’d like to retire with the team, but noted that he’d like to swap jerseys with Jordan Love after the game.

This tradition has become common for some of the game’s biggest stars, as it’s a sign of mutual respect for their game.
Love, of course, is the new face of the franchise, taking over from where Rodgers left off at the quarterback position.
He’s playing inspired football this season, and if it continues, Love could play himself into the MVP conversation.
Fans are curious to see what this battle will look like, as it’s a matchup between the student and teacher, to a degree.
Love had plenty of time under Rodgers to see what it’s like to perform at a high level in this league, and he’ll now get an opportunity to show his former teammate what tricks he picked up along the way during their time together.
