ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Run to the Hills… or, rather, to Albany for some heavy metal cocktails. Savoy Taproom on Lark Street has launched an Iron Maiden-inspired seasonal cocktail menu.
Each of the nine, limited-time cocktails is named after an Iron Maiden song. The eatery said the lineup aims to pay homage to the band’s legendary sound.
“This menu is a celebration of both craft and creativity,” said Savoy Taproom General Manager Trudy Steier. “Our bartenders took inspiration from Iron Maiden’s energy and storytelling and turned it into something you can taste.”
Take a look at each cocktail, and its ingredients, below:
- The Clairvoyant — Elephant Gin, Saler’s Aperitif, St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram, chestnut syrup, fresh mint, and toasted cinnamon
- Revelations — K-Town peach and chili soju, Dolin blanc vermouth, clove honey syrup, prosecco, and chili apricot
- Wrathchild — Koch Elemental mezcal, Yellow Chartreuse, Chareau aloe liqueur, Barrow’s Intense Ginger Liqueur, lemon, simple syrup, and spicy cherry
- Charlotte the Harlot — ALB Vodka, Brotherhood Port, Fruitful Fig Liqueur, fennel syrup, aquafaba, Angostura bitters, and dried fig
- The Prophecy — Elijah Craig bourbon, Pierre Ferrand Yuzu Curacao, Cynar, coffee-infused Pedro Ximénez sherry, and lemon zest
- The Trooper — Ryeval Vodka, Suze bitters, Fassionola liqueur, lemon, simple syrup, bubbles, rosemary, and dried orange
- Be Quick or Be Dead — Montelobos mezcal, cilantro-infused Green Chartreuse, Fruitful Blood Orange Liqueur, Cocchi Rosa, lime juice, habanero salt, and lime wheel
- Remember Tomorrow — 123 Tequila Reposado, Ancho Reyes Verde, Aperol, pineapple chai syrup, lemon, and fresh mint
- Wasted Love — Lemonhart 1804 Rum, Carpano Antica, strawberry-infused house bitters, coconut oil wash, chocolate bitters, and orange zest
“Each cocktail is designed to be as powerful and distinctive as the songs that inspired them — complex, bold and a little rebellious,” Steier said.
In addition to drinks, Savoy Taproom also offers a rotating selection of salads, burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and other savory plates. A full menu can be found online.
