State Police launched an investigation in September 2024 after they reportedly received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. A search warrant was subsequently carried out at Scott’s home on September 30, 2025, authorities said.
Scott was reportedly arrested on Tuesday. He has been charged with promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child less than 17 years of age and possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child less than 16 years of age.
The 68-year-old was arraigned in Athens Town Court, where his bail was set at $15,000 cash, $30,000 secured bond and $45,000 partially secured bond. He was released on bail bond and was ordered to wear a GPS monitoring anklet through pre-trial probation services, State Police said.
An investigation reportedly remains ongoing. Scott is scheduled to reappear in court on October 23.
