Berkshire Co. 5K raising funds for local food pantries

PITTSFIELD, N.Y. (NEWS10) — In honor of raising awareness and money for Berkshire County food pantries, officials with the MountainOne Thankful 5K are hoping the 2025 race garners more support than ever for community members struggling with food insecurity. Runners in the 10th Annual MountainOne Thankful 5K will take their mark for community-wide food access on November 27.

Held at Berkshire Community College, the 5K walk and run kicks off at 9 a.m. and features a virtual race for anyone who can’t participate in person. Registration for the race is $35 through November 1, when the cost increases to $40 until the day of the race.

Kindergarteners to high school seniors can participate in the race for free. The first 500 people to register, excluding students, will receive a free hat. Runners can also bring non-perishable food donations to the Berkshire Running Center before or on the day of the race.
