The future of Giannis Antetokounmpo with the Milwaukee Bucks is murky once again.

Recent reports have said the superstar would be open to the idea of moving to another team if Milwaukee doesn’t have a strong start to the season.

Everyone is paying close attention to what happens next, but it sounds like the Bucks aren’t ready to let him go just yet.

Speaking on ESPN, Brian Windhorst opened up about the Antetokounmpo situation and where things currently stand.

“When that report came out…some teams checked in with the Bucks…and the answer has been a resounding no from what I’m told. So everybody is locked in on this year,” Windhorst said.

It seems that everyone involved in this is now solely focused on starting the season off right and doing all they can to win.

But that doesn’t mean rumors about Antetokounmpo leaving won’t flare up again soon.

In fact, this promises to be one of the biggest storylines of the new year, with everyone speculating after each loss and win.

There is a very real chance that Antetokounmpo heads to another team soon, possibly right before the trade deadline in February.

However, for now, he is going to dedicate himself to Milwaukee.

Nothing is a foregone conclusion, and the Bucks might be able to convince him to stay.

It all depends on how the season starts, which makes the first few weeks all the more important.

During his preseason debut, Antetokounmpo posted 12 points, eight rebounds, and three assists.

He’s ready for another strong season with the Bucks, but there is a chance it’ll be his last with them.
