A fire that killed five people in a Twiller Street home earlier this month has reportedly been deemed suspicious by the Albany Police Department. No arrests have been made as of Tuesday afternoon, according to authorities.
2. Process to replace Livingston Avenue Bridge begins
The New York State Department of Transportation said it has begun gathering supplies for the Livingston Avenue Bridge replacement project.
3. Rensselaer County man sentenced for deed theft
A Rensselaer County man was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to grand larceny by stealing the deed to an elderly man’s home. Joseph Goodnough, 42, will spend 12 weekends in jail and serve five years probation.
4. Woman evades Colonie police for drugs, impersonation
The Colonie Police Department is seeking a wanted woman.
5. Watervliet seeks funds for flagpole to honor fallen worker
The city of Watervliet is asking for people to donate money to install a flagpole at the Watervliet Filtration Plant in memory of the man killed in a wrong-way crash on I-787.
