Genesee County reverend suspended for sexual harassment

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A reverend who has served several churches in Genesee County has been suspended for alleged sexual harassment of adults, the Buffalo Diocese said Tuesday.

Reverend Patrick O’Keefe has been also been accused of “inappropriate workplace and ministerial conduct.” He has most recently served at Parochial Vicar of Ascension Parish and Resurrection Parish in Batavia, St. Brigid Parish in Bergen and Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Le Roy.

Reverend Scottston Brentwood, Reverend Eugene Costa and Reverent Mattthew Zirnheld will continue to serve the family.

A canonical judge will review the allegations. Reports of abuse and misconduct by Diocese members can be submitted on the Diocese’s website here.
