Guilderland school district to host community recycling event

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Guilderland Central School District will be hosting a community-wide recycling event next weekend. The Biannual Recycling Extravaganza will take place on Saturday at Farnsworth Middle School.

Vendors at the event will accept gently used instruments, cell phones, sneakers, cardboard (no paper), clothing and some electronics. A full list of acceptable and unacceptable items can be found on the Guilderland CSD website.

All collected items will be recycled, reused or repurposed for future use. The event is open to both residents and non-residents of the school district, with no proof of residency required or a drop-off fee.

The Recycling Extravaganza will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Farnsworth Middle School is located at 6072 State Farm Road.
