Hayward resident arrested for stealing two trailers: Daly City police

(KRON) — A 46-year-old Hayward resident was arrested after allegedly cutting the lock off a parking lot gate to steal two trailers.

The Daly City Police Department said the suspect struck on Sept. 30 between 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. on the 600 block of Niantic Avenue.

The thefts involved a 2021 Big Tex trailer and a 2012 Apache Lindig trailer, according to police.

“One victim was able to locate his trailer in the parking lot of Mission Plaza,” said police. “Officers later located the other trailer at the suspect’s residence in Hayward.”

The suspect, who was not identified, was booked into jail where they face several charges, including commercial burglary, vehicle theft, and possession of a controlled substance.
