Brentwood police investigating after possible threat to Liberty High School

(KRON) — Brentwood police are continuing to investigate after a possible threat against Liberty High School was found to be not credible.

Police said the threat appeared in a social media post and that officers quickly began working with the school district to probe the “origin and credibility of the post.” The date and time of the post were not disclosed.

Following the incident, there will be increased patrols in and around the Liberty High School campus and nearby areas for the continued safety of students, staff and community members, said police.

“We take all threats seriously and remain committed to maintaining a safe learning environment,” said law enforcement officials in a social media post. “We appreciate the cooperation of Liberty High School and our community as we continue to monitor and investigate this situation.”
