The Green Bay Packers parted with Aaron Rodgers three years ago.
Even so, the four-time NFL MVP and Super Bowl champion will always be considered a franchise great.
Things didn’t end well between him and the organization, which is why all eyes will be on Acrisure Stadium, where the Packers will play Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers on “Sunday Night Football” in Week 8.
Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur recently shared his thoughts on facing his former quarterback.
“We’ve got a lot of respect and love for Aaron. What he’s done here, he’s a Hall of Famer… this game is not about that. It’s about the Green Bay Packers vs the Pittsburgh Steelers.”

LaFleur and Rodgers didn’t always see eye to eye.
As a longtime veteran and one of the greatest passers in history, Rodgers was able to change plays at the line of scrimmage, and he often audibled and made adjustments after getting the call from LaFleur.
Rodgers also complained about the fact that the front office didn’t keep him in the loop before they selected Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
He was upset that the Packers were unwilling to use a first-round draft pick on a wide receiver, and the defense often fell short when he played well.
That’s just to say that this might be the most emotional game in Rodgers’ 21-season career.
That could spell trouble for a Packers’ secondary that has struggled to contain big plays this season.
Rodgers did not face Green Bay during his time with the New York Jets, so this will be his first battle against the QB who replaced him, which will make Love’s performance worth watching as well.
