Jason Segel, known for his roles in “How I Met Your Mother” and “Forgetting Sara Marshall,” has already brought one project, the critically acclaimed dramady “Shrinking,” to Apple TV. Now, he’s gearing up to do it again.

On Wednesday, Apple announced that it had acquired the rights to Segel’s new film venture, “Sponsor.” The film is described as a psychological thriller, born from an original idea co-written by Segel and James Ponsoldt.
