ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Festival of Nations is returning to Albany. One highlight of the afternoon is the crowning of the Miss Festival of Nations.
Candidate interviews took place on Monday with NEWS10’s Giuliana Bruno as one of the judges. The young ladies were asked about their volunteer work and school activities as well as their knowledge of the traditions and culture of the country they are representing.
Cuisine from each nation was also on display.
Miss Bosnia Azra Klapija won last year’s Miss Festival of Nations.
The 54th annual Festival of Nations is taking place from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on November 2 at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center. Dozens of countries will celebrate their culture and share their food.
