BART riders face major delays Monday morning

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — An equipment problem on the BART tracks near San Francisco’s Embarcadero station is causing major delays Monday morning in the Transbay Tube, officials said just after 6 a.m. There is also no Red Line or Green Line service.

BART trains are single tracking through the Transbay Tube while dealing with the track obstruction, according to the Bay Area Rapid Transit District. There are major delays in both directions.

“For Millbrae take the shuttle train between SFO and Millbrae and transfer to/from the Yellow line (Antioch-SFO),” BART wrote in an advisory. “Millbrae riders from Richmond take the Orange/Berryessa train and transfer at MacArthur to the Yellow/SFO train.”

For Green Line riders heading to San Francisco, BART said to take an Orange/Richmond train and transfer to a Blue/Daly City train. Green Line riders heading to the East Bay and take a Blue/Dublin train and transfer to an Orange/Berryessa train.

There is no estimated time for regular service to resume.
