Person taken to hospital after shooting involving law enforcement: SDSO

ALPINE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A person was shot by authorities Wednesday in Alpine, authorities said.

The shooting involving law enforcement occurred around 6:40 p.m. near the 1700 block of Kyrsten Terrace, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to FOX 5/KUSI.

The person who was shot was taken to a hospital, per SDSO, but their condition is unknown at this time.

The sheriff’s office said there is no danger to the community.

No other details have been released about the incident.
