Victim shot during Vacaville home invasion robbery Thursday

(KRON) — A victim of a home invasion robbery in Vacaville is recovering after being shot during Thursday’s violent encounter, according to authorities. One robbery suspect was later located and arrested, while a second suspect remains on the run.

The Vacaville Police Department responded at 2 p.m. to a home on the 500 block of Chateau Way after receiving a report from a resident that an armed robbery had just occurred. Arriving officers found an adult who was suffering from at least one gunshot wound to an extremity, police said. That victim was rushed to a local hospital where they were last listed in stable condition.

After receiving information about the two robbery suspects, law enforcement located the suspect vehicle in Fairfield, according to Vacaville PD. One suspect, identified as Dandre Wilson, 29, of Sacramento, was arrested without incident and booked into the Solano County Jail.

“The second suspect remains outstanding,” police said. “However, as a result of the investigation into this incident, Detectives have discovered leads which are being actively investigated.”

Authorities do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to contact the Vacaville Police Department at 707-449-5200.
