
Edina High School students will be among the first in the state to be able to carry and administer a drug for reversing opioid overdoses. KSTP reports “the Edina School Board unanimously approved the policy on Monday in light of a change in state law that allows students in grades 9-12 to possess naloxone — commonly known by the brand name Narcan — and use it on another student. Students do not need permission from a school nurse to carry the drug.”
Nearly a dozen Minnesota Targets are now selling THC drinks. Bring Me The News writes “a spokesperson for the Minneapolis-based retailer told Bring Me The News that THC beverages are being sold in the liquor stores of 11 Target locations in Minnesota, primarily in the Twin Cities area.” Products include seltzers from local breweries.
Another string of vandalisms in Minneapolis has left more than 100 cars damaged. KARE 11 says “Minneapolis police say the most recent incidents occurred in both the third and fifth precincts beginning on Oct. 9, continuing through at least Oct. 13.“
With the youth deer hunt opener now underway, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources says conditions are looking good. MPR News reports “the DNR attributes the favorable forecast to last season’s mild winter, which bolstered wild herd populations.”
