Two dead after single-car crash on I-787 in Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Two people are dead after a single-car crash on I-787 in Albany, according to New York State Police. This is a the second fatal crash that happened on I-787 on Sunday morning.

While investigating the other crash, troopers reportedly found a car off the road down an embankment of I-787 southbound near Exit 5 around 7 a.m. Three people were found with severe injuries, said State Police. The two passengers were declared dead on scene. The driver was taken to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries.

The Exit 6A off-ramps to I-787 southbound are closed in both directions. The road is expected to open around 1:30 p.m.
