Nederland’s only supermarket reopens after shopping-center fire forced temporary closure

Nederland’s B&F Mountain Market reopened Sunday, three days after a fire leveled an adjacent multi-level strip mall.

The market was closed after a fire fully engulfed the Caribou Village Shopping Center on Lakeview Drive on Thursday, according to a Boulder County Sheriff’s Office video social media post.

The shopping center was located next to the grocery store, and shared a parking lot, forcing its closure while fire crews began work to halt and investigate the fire.

Speaking in the video social media post, spokesperson Vinnie Montez said the sheriff’s office will provide an update on the fire investigation later this week.

As of Friday, no cause or place of origin had been determined.
