ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Google recently launched a new feature that allows users to prioritize news outlets they trust. With “preferred sources,” you can select your favorite outlets and stay up to date on their latest content, which will appear in your “Top Stories.”
There are two ways to make NEWS10 a preferred source in Google. First, log into your Google account.
Click here and add “news10.com” as a preferred source. Make sure to check the box. It’ll look like this:
The second option is to search on Google for any news topic, such as “Albany news.” Click on the icon next to “top stories” and type in news10.com and it will pop up to select.
You will still be able to see other news sources, not just NEWS10. Preferred sources don’t block out everything else. The only difference is you’ll see your preferred sources come up more frequently.
You can update your preferred sources list whenever you’d like.
