Woman shot, killed near gas station in north St. Louis

ST. LOUIS – A woman was killed overnight Tuesday after a shooting in north St. Louis.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), the shooting occurred around 2:20 a.m. on the 6100 block of N. Broadway in the city’s North Riverfront neighborhood.

The shooting happened near a Love’s Travel Stop, located on N. Broadway. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a woman that had sustained a gunshot wound. The woman was later pronounced dead, SLMPD said.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing. There are no details on the identity of the woman killed or if there are any potential suspects in the shooting.
